Today Simply Bates is closed due to filming of an advert in courtyard. Normal business will resume tomorrow.

Simply Bates is not just a cafe but a social venue which will be screening sporting events and hosting live music events while enjoying a creamy pint of Guiness or glass of wine. 

Opening Times: Open Tuesday to Sunday 12pm till 4pm,

Open Tuesday to Saturday from 10am to 3pm, Simply Bates Cafe offers a great new venue where diners can enjoy a meal in a relaxed and casual setting in the vicinity of Bates Restaurant and The Cartoon Inn. Run in conjunction with The Cartoon Inn  anyone enjoying a drink can order a light meal or snack at their leisure to be eaten in either location.

Casual, laid back dining is key here with a varied selection of hot food, Italian pastas and pizzas, cakes, freshly made sandwiches, scones, and coffees.
